Kids Summer Movie Series: Smurfs - The Lost Village
This summer, Riverstone is hosting the Kids Summer Movie Series again on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 AM, and it’s a great way to get the kids out of the house and into something that’s fun but also points them toward Jesus. We’ll be showing a different family-friendly movie each week, and there’s no set cost—just a freewill donation if you’d like. Popcorn, drinks, and fruit snacks will be available every week, so the kids can snack while they watch, and parents can relax knowing they’re covered.
One of the best parts is that this series isn’t just about watching movies—it’s also about creating space for faith conversations at home. Each week, we’ll send kids home with a simple activity sheet that connects to the movie, and parents will get a conversation guide with questions and talking points tied to scenes from that week’s film. It’s all designed to help families talk about what they’re watching in a way that brings Jesus into the conversation, naturally and without pressure.
You can reserve your seats online up to a month in advance, which helps a lot if you’ve got a group or a daycare planning to come. And we’d love for daycares and summer programs to be a part of this! Just let us know so we can make sure there are enough snacks and space for everyone. This is a great midweek outing that doesn’t require much effort but still gives you a chance to connect with your kids on a deeper level.
At the heart of it, the Summer Movie Series is about more than just something to do on a Wednesday. It’s a chance to bring our community together, open our doors to new families, and let kids experience the love of Jesus in a simple, welcoming way. Whether you’re coming with your own kids or bringing a whole crew from daycare, we hope to see you there!

Kids Summer Movie Series: IF
This summer, Riverstone is hosting the Kids Summer Movie Series again on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 AM, and it’s a great way to get the kids out of the house and into something that’s fun but also points them toward Jesus.

These are great chances to catch up with familiar faces, meet new folks, and just have a good time as a community. Here are the details for our first event:
Wednesday, June 11 at 6:00 PM
Mandan Eagles Park (Universal Playground)
We’ll be grilling up hot dogs and providing drinks and paper products — all you need to bring is a side dish, salad, or dessert to share. That’s it! Come for the food, the laughter, the celebration, and the chance to just be together.
Mission Night
Our VBS Mission Focus is the Friends of Chimbote mission in Peru. Since VBS will now be happening after the youth mission team returns, we’re bringing some of the super cool activites we originally had planned for VBS Missions to the Potluck Party where we’ll be doing some fun, hands-on mission activities for kids and adults alike.
Julie Dolbec, Maggie Portra, and a few members of the youth mission team will give a short presentation and lead a variety of stations where kids can make bracelets and other meaningful items to send with the team to Peru!

Movie Team Training
As our movie outreach events continue to grow, we’re looking to grow our team of greeters, popcorn hosts, and clean-up crews for movie events! It’s incredible to see how offering these movies has opened the doors for people to give church a chance and it’s an amazing ministry we get to provide in this unique space! If you’re interested in serving in this area, please come to a movie team training on Tuesday, June 10 at 6:30 PM.

Baptism Service
We are thrilled to announce two upcoming opportunities for baptism—a powerful step of obedience and declaration in the life of a believer. On Sunday, June 8, we’ll be celebrating baptisms during both of our worship services at Riverstone. Then later this summer, we’ll join with our brothers and sisters from the Community Church for a beautiful outdoor baptism at McDowell Dam on Sunday, August 10 at 1 PM.
Baptism is not just a tradition—it is a sacred symbol of our faith, an outward expression of an inward transformation. Jesus Himself was baptized (Matthew 3:13-17), and He calls us to follow Him in this act. Baptism marks our identity with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4), proclaiming to the world that we are no longer the same.
If you've put your faith in Jesus but have not yet taken this step, we encourage you to consider it prayerfully. This is a moment to publicly say, “I belong to Jesus.” It’s a celebration of grace, a testimony of new life, and a bold step into community.
There will be a Baptism Class the Sunday before each of these dates, immediately following morning worship services. This is a time to learn more about the meaning of baptism, what to expect, and how to prepare your heart for this milestone.
Let’s rejoice together as God continues to move in lives and hearts! Scan this code to sign up to be baptized! Please register no later than the Sunday prior to the service you plan to participate in. We can’t wait to see what God has planned for you!

Young Adults Cookout & Game Night

Belong Gathering
At Riverstone, we don’t have a formal membership process because we believe belonging goes deeper than a title. Belonging is about connection—walking together in faith, growing in Christ, and living out His mission in our lives.
There are so many ways to belong here, from events and classes to Life Groups, mission trips, and serving opportunities. Each of these is designed to help you take meaningful steps in your discipleship journey:
Believe and know God.
Become healed and set free.
Be empowered, serve God, and make disciples.
These steps aren’t just a path; they’re a way of life, and through the connections you build at Riverstone, you’ll discover how to live them out. We’d love for you to join us as we grow, serve, and follow Jesus together!
We want you to feel right at home here at Riverstone. One of the best ways to get connected is by joining us for our Belong Gathering, held every 1st Sunday after the 11:00 AM service. Over a shared meal, you’ll meet great people who are passionate about following Jesus and helping others do the same. This brief and informal gathering is a chance to get to know each other, hear about Riverstone’s story, Core Beliefs, and Values, and learn about the next steps in your journey of faith.
